Fashion Shows this year has brought along with it racy and provocative feel, just three weeks ago Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) announced that Wills Lifestyle would be the official title sponsor for the India Fashion Week (IFW) to be held in New Delhi in April and six years of association with Lakme as the title sponsor of the fashion week came to an end.
Tug of war started when both FDCI and Lakme planned to sponsor Fashion week in month of April with just five days difference. FDCI has issued a statement restricting participants to participate in any other rival event or fashion week which has put FDCI under the scanner.
Monopolies and Restrictive Trade Practices Commission has issued a notice of enquiry to India Fashion Week for indulging in restrictive trade practices.
