A major fire has broken out at the Jamnagar Reliance Industries refinery on Wednesday 10:30 am. CNN IBN has reported that the plant has been evacuated and nobody has got any kind of injury in the incident.
According to police officials, the fire broke due to a spark in the plant and knocked one of the two hydro cracker units at the plant.
According to the Reliance officials, the damages are being assessed and they are planning to shut down the refinery for probably one month.
During that period, the oil production will go down as much as half of current production that is 32-40 million tones (MT).
