Jammu and Kashmir battling militancy for decades has found girls of the state replacing their veil with the gun against the terrorists. A new era for the militancy torn state beckons.
For long, militancy in Jammu and Kashmir spelt doom for the state, especially for the girls, who became physically vulnerable to the militants. The girls of the state having been physically assaulted, raped, molested, maimed by terrorists have decided to end this humiliating trend now, by picking up guns, showing that they are not merely hollow spectators in the reign of terror spelled by the militants, but very much a part of fighting against it.
The girls after getting trained by the Indian Army will become a part of the village defense committees, which until now comprised only of males. With the women of the state picking up AK-47 as their weapon showing that they are no less than men, when it comes to fighting terrorism, better times ahead for the state can be promised.
Having been in the grip of terrorism for decades, the girls of Jammu and Kashmir have shown courage, valor, confidence and responsibility in taking to arms against militants, guarding themselves, their families and their neighbors from terrorists.
