Harry Potter star, Daniel buys luxury apartment for $4.3 million

Daniel Radcliffe, who starred as Harry Potter in all the five movies based on the books written by J.K.Rowling, bought a luxurious Manhattan apartment for $4.3 million. It was purchased in May and was soon put on a rental market for $20,000 per month. Daniel completed 18, in July this year.

The apartment is 1,843 sq. ft., on the fifth floor of the 13-storey building, which is glass walled and the apartments are individually owned there. It is in SoHo and is designed by architect Jean Nouvel. It has two bedrooms with floor to ceiling windows and two and a half bathrooms.

The building is even named ‘sexiest new development‘ in the area. The 40-unit building has 50-foot swimming pool, a steam room and hotel like services.

This property was purchased from Gilmore Jacobs Ltd, which was set up by Daniel’s parents before his first film in 2001 and now it has turned to more than $40 million, according to the reports. Radcliffe got the control on his earnings after 18 and he had said that he wouldn’t be ‘practically extravagant’. He said,

The things I like buying are things that cost about $10 – Books and CDs and DVDs.

Offices of Scholastic Inc. is just few steps from his new home. Scholastic Inc. is the publishing house of the series of Harry Potter books.
