The former model Heather Mills got offensive e-mails and death threats on her official website, www. heathermills.org, criticizing the way she is managing her divorce from Sir Paul McCartney.
Mills, estranged wife of McCartney set up an email facility on her website to allow the public to communicate with her, but it has now been removed after legions of McCartney fans used it to send a torrent of abuse her way.
The 38-year-old former model lost her left leg after being run over by a police motorbike in 1993.
One of the offensive notes reads: “Dear Heather, you are nothing but a bloody gold-digger disgrace. Go to your bloody minefields, preferably without a detector.”
According to Contactmusic, letters to the website from members of the public are now being screened by the site’s Webmaster before Heather’s sister Fiona checks they’re suitable for publishing.

She is deeply upset about how people have turned against her. The reality is she often gets abuse in the street when she goes out.
Mills insisted on US TV last week that she gets “nothing but support” from the public and would prefer losing her limbs rather than dating another McCartney.
Heather left stunned at this reaction and don’t understand why people hate her so much. It seems that whole world has turned against her.
