Heather Mills, the estranged wife of Paul McCartney, has been polled out of the hit television show ‘Dancing with the Stars’. Mills was appreciated for dancing with an artificial leg, but a tumble on the stage last week pulled the actress and her partner in the bottom two.

Mills and her partner Jonathan Roberts had made it to the sixth week of the ABC network’s knock-out competition, in which celebrities dance with professional dancers.

The show’s three judges ranked Heather Mills and her partner Roberts fifth in the list of seven remaining participants, but the public vote which accounts for half of the rankings did not support them.

Mills said that she was mentally prepared to be voted out and even had a goodbye speech ready, tucked inside her black, two-piece outfit.

Former model turned social activist, who’s leg was amputated in a accident in 1993, said that she had joined the contest to prove that any handicap can be overcome with will-power.

Among the celebrity contestants left in the dance competition are world female boxing champion Laila Ali, country music star Billy Ray Cyrus, former ‘N Sync boy-band member Joey Fatone and Olympic speed-skater Apolo Anton Ohno.
