Vijay Malaya’s Kingfisher airline is the single airlines from India that has signed the contract for the A380 Airbus. The Kingfisher airlines has 10 aircraft on order in which five aircrafts is on firm order.
The other five aircrafts would be on optional basis. Kingfisher will get the fleet of the A380 Airbuses expectedly in 2011-12.
During the visit to India, the A380 Airbus would launch a promotional drive and some selected guests will get a chance to be on the board to experience the A380 flight.
The report says that the aircraft would possibly enter the commercial flights from the month of October this year. The Singapore Airlines (SIA) will be the first airline that would get the services of A380.
The Airbus officials had planned to fly the aircraft for the Bangalore Aero India air show in February but the program failed because the Bangalore airfield is comparatively small to fly A380 Airbus.
