Aspiring singer and The Hills star Heidi Montag has apparently broken off her engagement with beau Spencer Pratt on the recent season finale of the show.
In an interview to Us Weekly magazine, the couple claimed that the wedding was off the time being tough they are still dating.
Heidi says the couple is ‘going back to being boyfriend and girlfriend’.
Which, according to Pratt, was ‘when our relationship was flawless.’
Lauren Conrad, Heidi’s co-star on The Hills, had always disapproved of the relationship and when Heidi was asked whether the development might have left Lauren feeling a little smug, she promptly replied:
It would be really sad if she did, but her opinions don’t affect me at all. She’s not a part of my life now.
On the other hand, Heidi is not the only one feeling the pain. Pratt too feels sorry about the sequence of events:
I need to accept that Heidi wants her princess dream wedding and that she’s the boss.
Ouch!
Seems like Heidi is the tougher of the twain as she didn’t seem to have given up on the deal yet:
I have high tolerance for pain. After all, I’ve lived with Spencer.
Hmm… And what has she done with the ring Pratt gave her?
I’ve turned it into a pendant. It wasn’t my dream ring. I don’t like what it represents. I might sell it.
