Doesn’t really come as news to me, but NBA hunk Tony Parker (hubby to Eva Longaria of the ‘Desperate Housewives’ fame) has reportedly filed a $20 million lawsuit against the photo agency X17.

The agency had run reports and publications with text messages alleging that Parker has cheated on his actor wife shortly after their wedding.

The lawsuit, dated December 19, 2007, was filed in L.A. County Superior Court charges X17 for defamation and alleges:

X17 had to know that the story was false, or at the very least, it had to have entertained serious doubts about the credibility of the supposed source.

The suit also states that X17 never sought to

…verify the information with Mr. Parker, Ms. Longaria, any of their representatives or… anyone else who might have knowledge of the truth or falsity of the allegations.

On December 12, X17 published an exclusive phone interview with French model Alexandra Paressant in which she had claimed having had a two-month long secret affair with Tony Parker shortly after the model had met the NBA star at his wedding.
