On Decemeber 8 last year, A BIT-Mesra student, Abhishek Mishrahad died in Dasham fall near Ranchi. Abhisek had gone there for a picnic with three more friends.

One of his ‘good’ friend was Lalu Prasad’s daughter, Ragini Yadav. Later, Abhishek drowned at Dassam falls and his friends informed his family about his death.

Now, the A division bench headed by Chief Justice M Karpagavinaygam and Justice Pramod Kohli of Jharkhand High Court has ordered a CBI probe into the mysterious drowning of Abhishek.

Manoj Mishra, Abhishek’s cousin, said that they are satisfied with the Court’s judgment to hand over the inquiry to the CBI.

Abhishek had gone to Dasham fall on Dec 8 for a picnic with three friends, Bharat Anand, Vishal Pandey and Ragini Yadav. After the incident, Pandey alone went to Bundu police station to file a report.

Later, Abhishek’s father SC Mishra said that Ragini called him and informed Abhishek’s death in the falls.

Now, the case has gone to CBI and it will investigate the real story behind the incident whether Abhishek was murdered or died a natural death due to drowning.

The state government had earlier denied forwarding the case to CBI. Then, SC Mishra sent a letter to the Jharkhand High Court asking for a CBI inquiry into the matter.

The court had then taken the letter as a writ petition and sought a probe by the state government and appointed an amicus curie to investigate the matter.

The amicus curie had put so many questions against the state police inquiry and the post-mortem report of Abhisek’s dead body.

The autopsy report had confirmed that there was no water found in Abhishek’s lungs, While in the cases of drowning the lungs normally fill up with water.

Now, the ball is in CBI’s court and it seems that another legal problem is waiting for Lalu Prasad or another high-profile love and death case would hit the headlines in media.
