The readers of the swish magazine Conde Nast Traveller have voted India as the world’s favorite country for traveling purpose. India has been termed as the travellers’ favorite destination because of the rich culture, variety of attractions and value for money the country has.
The other countries behind India are such as Italy, Thailand, Australia and New Zealand in the list of the 2007 Conde Nast Traveller Readers’ Travel Awards.
According to the report, India scored more than 89 on average in all the ten criteria with scoring 97.17 out of 100 in culture, 94.78 in value for money and 96.30 in variety of attractions categories.
The readers of the magazine ranks best countries in the categories of hotels, airlines, islands, tour operators, spas, cruise lines, cities annually.
At the same pattern like each year, the magazine’s readers rated India this year as the best travel destination in the world for high culture, value for money and the pure varieties of its different attractions.
Later, Sarah Miller, the magazine’s editor said that this would boost India to get the accolade of our discerning readers’ demand and choice as favourite country in the world. India, at it’s 60, showed that India’s moment has finally come out now.
The top five travel destination countries are like India, Italy, Thailand, Australia and New Zealand. New Zealand scored more than any other country for scenery and Italy has scored higher for the best food and climate it has.
Thailand has the best friendliness in the world. Maldives became the best Island to visit and Sydney bags the highest points to become the favourite overseas city.
