Jolie admits crying constantly over refugee work

goodwill ambassador for unhcr 2263Angelina Jolie, the goodwill ambassador for the ‘United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees’, has said that she was deeply moved by her initial visits as the ambassador.

Jolie admits that during the first two years she was so moved by circumstances that tears accompanied her speech. She told Newsweek:

The first two years I just cried constantly. I couldn’t really talk about the situation without being emotional. And I went through a period of just complete lack of hope.

An incident related to a disturbed 7-year-old boy during her February visit to the Oure Cassoni camp on the border between Darfur and Chad is deeply embossed over her heart.

Jolie became the ambassador in 2001 and has visited camps in Africa, Pakistan and Cambodia as part of her work as a goodwill ambassador for the UNHCR and proved to the world that she is a sensitive human being first and an actress later.

The beautiful actress has a heart of gold and the glitter that we see on her face is the result of her selfless work towards humanity.

Well done, Jolie.
