The young Irish actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers, who stars in Showtime’s ‘The Tudors,’ was charged with public drunkenness and breaking peace at Dublin Airport.
Rhys Meyers was arrested Sunday after he behaved in an ‘erratic and abusive’ behavior at an airport gate for his flight to London. After refusing to calm down, police held him.
The actor spent the night in the cells. USA Today reports:
‘Police charged him with two counts of violating the Public Order Act, then permitted him to pay an undisclosed cash bail on condition he return to Dublin District Court on Dec. 5 for his arraignment.’
Rhys Myers tried a rehab sting in April but checked out after a month.
