Popular singer and actress Katharine McPhee married boyfriend and producer Nick Cokas at Beverly Hills on Sunday. Speaking to the People magazine, McPhee???s representative Justin Gray said that, Cokas and McPhee exchanged matrimonial vows at Presbyterian Church in a late afternoon ceremony.
McPhee (23), runner-up in the fifth season of American Idol, was reportedly excited about her marriage with Cokas(42). Commenting on the occasion, she said:
(Nick) is the love of my life. This is a once in a lifetime occasion and everything is just perfect.
The couple had first met in 2005, when both had performed in a Los Angeles theater production of The Ghost and Mrs.Muir. The chance meeting developed into friendship???and the duo finally fell in love while Mcphee was auditioning for American Idol. Last year, Cokas and McPhee had decided to get engaged. On the occasion, Cokas had gifted the actress a beautiful round-designed platinum and diamond engagement ring.
McPhee recently completed the filming of the Anna Faris comedy, I Know What Boys Like. A total of 305 guests were present on Saturday afternoon at the wedding of McPhee and Cokas, including Kellie Pickler and Mandisa, McPhee’s fellow contestants in American Idol. On the occasion, Cokas put on an Armani tuxedo, while McPhee wore a strapless ivory Manuel Mota gown and sported Neil Lane jewels (diamond and platinum chandelier earrings and diamond and platinum bracelets).
