British model Katie Price and her boyfriend Leandro Penna miraculously escaped unscathed after their 4X4 rammed into two stallions on the road. The horses however were not so lucky. The incident took place around 1:30am yesterday morning around three miles from the hotel Estancia San Pedro Viejo in the outskirts of the city of Corboda, Argentina. Both were visibly left shaken after the incident but without any major injuries. Witnesses said that the only reason that they survived the crash was because they were in such a sturdy vehicle and wearing their seatbelts.
The Daily mail reports Katie telling the Daily Mirror,
It’s a miracle that we’re alive. It was absolutely terrifying. It all happened in a flash and I have absolutely no idea how I wasn’t badly injured. I feel so lucky, but more than anything I’m just distraught about the horses. It was so upsetting.
The 32-year old mother of three, who is an avid horse rider herself, just escaped with a jarred neck and a few cuts and bruises on her hands. It is believed that the horses suddenly ran into the road leaving Leandro, behind the wheels, little time to jam on the brakes.
Katie and her 25-year old Argentine boyfriend flew into Buenos Aires last Friday only. She had previously spent only four days in South America before jetting back to the UK to sort out issues regarding her impending divorce with Alex Reid. Earlier this month, she had uploaded on Twitter, some romantic pictures she took with Leandro in Corboda professing her love for the young Argentine. Divine grace however, has seemed to save this lovey-dovey couple this time around.
