The Freaky Friday star just does not cease to be in the news. For about four times in the last one year Lindsay Lohan has been repeatedly having infamous brushes with the law. Currently in the news for stealing a $2,500 necklace from an upscale Venice shop, Lohan was handed a 120 day sentence for breaching a past probation order, which, however for the time-being she has avoided with a $75,000 bail.
But being on the wrong side of the law, she hasn???t shown much restraint on her part either. The Mean Girls star is now espousing a theory of the Los Angeles Deputy District Attorney, Danette Meyers indulging in a ???witch hunt??? against her and her career. However, the theory is heavily flawed considering the fact that Meyers had asked Stephanie Saunter, the presiding judge to re-assign the case to someone else as the felony charge earlier imposed on Lindsay had been converted to a misdemeanor. That Saunter had ruled against Meyers??? request citing legal procedures is another story.
Another flaw to rule out Lindsay???s theory is the fact that Meyers in her career as a prosecutor which has spawned more than two decades, has dealt and prosecuted over hundreds of big cases. Someone as well-respected as her in the legal fraternity would never bother so much over something as minor as a misdemeanor theft case. It???s therefore high time that Lohan concentrate on resurrecting her career instead of taking potshots at the judiciary which in the run is not at all going to help her or her failing career.
