Read here the interview when Shahabuddin said that nobody could catch him. Now, the RJD MP is getting taste of law.

The people of India are well aware about the relatives of Nitish Katara, Jessica Lall, Priyadarshini Matto, who fought their battle against the corrupt system in the country to get the justice. Thanks to the role played by print media, news channels and various online journalists for creating awareness among the people to raise their voice against corrupt system and powerful accused as well.

Now, I want to ask do you know who is Kaushlya Devi? I doubt many of you know her. Anyways, again here is another question for you… who was Chandrasekhar? You will recall Chandrasekhar Azad but this person was not ‘Azad’ in independent India to do the work he desired to do.

Chandrasekhar was left-wing student leader and the president of Student union of Jawaharlal Nehru University, one of the best educational institutions in India. He was from Siwan, Bihar. Kaushlya Devi is his mother.

Chandrasekhar was trying to put his feet in the state level politics as a CPI ML worker. He was getting popularity in Siwan in late 90s. This was not good news for RJD leadership in Siwan.

According to the police, men loyal to Shahabuddin shot dead Kaushalya Devi’s son Chandrasekhar in broad daylight near famous JP chowk in the heart of the city, Siwan in 1997.

After then, Kaushlya Devi, the lone survivor in the family, started crying for the justice in the murder of her son. She has criticized openly the RJD MP on many occasions in front of media.

Siwan, once famous as the birthplace of the first President of India Dr. Rajendra Prasad, now famous for the RJD MP Shahabuddin’s Lok sabha constituency. Shahabuddin, MP from Siwan, is facing more than 30 cases including those of murder, attempt to murder, kidnapping and violation of the Foreign Exchange Act and the Arms Act. Charge sheets have been filed in all these cases.

Media has reported on several occasions that Shahabuddin actually was known to run a parallel administration in Siwan. It was reportedly said that finding any flag of other political parties in the constituency except RJD’s flag was next to impossible for so many years in Siwan.

But the law started doing its duty and Shahbuddin was arrested as he was accused in more than 30 cases against him. The brave police officers such as the-then DGP Ojha, SP Sanjay rattan, DM CK Anil and other officers as well performed their duty and arrested Shahabuddin under many charges.

Recently, a fast track court has sentenced him two-year rigorous imprisonment to the RJD MP for assaulting a CPI (ML) worker in 1998 in Siwan.

On the court’s verdict, Kaushlya Devi was the one person who openly lauded the punishment awarded to Shahabu. She had already showed her courage before the police and became the single witness regarding the case in which Shahabu became convicted.

Most important part of the story is that in last ten years, she has fought his battle alone against the strong MP. She never had the backing of the media such as in the case of Jessica Lall, Nitish Katara and Priyadarshini Matto murder.

Kaushalya Devi, in her 60s, is the lone warrior against Shahabuddin for the past ten years and still crying for justice for her son.

She even has demanded to hang Shahabuddin for killing her son and several other innocent people.

She said:

I appeal to the court to award him the death sentence because he deserves only that.

Delhi is not a single place where such kinds of murders happen. But the media people do concentrate on the murders that happened in metro cities only.

Just think about the 60-year old lone female crusader who is still fighting his battle against the one of the most powerful person in Bihar with living in RJD MP’s own constituency without any kind of support.
