Kim Basinger has denied leaking the voicemail in which her former husband, Alec Baldwin calls their 11-year-old daughter a ‘rude, thoughtless little pig.’
Baldwin left a blasting voicemail for his daughter, Ireland, who did not respond to a prearranged call. The recording was first aired by the celebrity Web site TMZ.com on Thursday and it spread like a fire around the world.
Following the tape leak, a Los Angeles Superior Court commissioner ordered Baldwin to stay at a distance from his daughter till a pending May 4 hearing.
Baldwin, who is involved in a custody dispute with Basinger since their 2002 divorce, blamed his former wife for the leak on Friday. The actor also posted an apology on his web site for losing his temper with the child.
Baldwin said:
I have been driven to the edge by parental alienation for many years now.
Basinger, who is facing a court trial for 12 misdemeanor counts of disregarding court orders concerning Baldwin’s visitation rights has also employed a personal bodyguard for her daughter Ireland.
