Mecca Masjid blast a terrorist attack, finger goes to HUJI, SIMI

The blast in Mecca mosque rocked the Hyderabad city and killed 13 people on Friday. The Andhra Police and investigating teams have claimed on Saturday that the blast was a terrorist attack.

Further, the police have put the fingers at Harkat-ul-Jihad-al-Islami or HUJI and the Students’ Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) as the main suspects behind the Friday Mecca mosque blast. SIMI was also suspected for July 11, Mumbai blasts in Local trains.

Balwinder Singh, the Police Commissioner of Hyderabad told the media persons that the blast was a terrorist attack. Jehadi hand is involved in this attack. The police are not ruling out of this possibility. The Investigation teams are doing their work and managing to lay their hands on some clues.

Some news channels are showing reports that the people who planted the bomb in Masjid used 6030 Nokia phone with a Hutch SIM card and other devices. Some reports are saying that the bombs were very sophisticatedly made with RDX and TNT.

The bombs were reportedly made with IEDs and locally available material. The new modus operandi of the terrorists is clear. They are now making a nexus of guiding elements from outside India with local recruits who are trained to make low-intensity explosives in India.

Mecca Masjid blast is the new entry in the unsolved series of blasts such as Delhi’s Jama Masjid blast, Malegaon blast and Samjhauta Express blast. The investigations are still on and no results have come out till yet.

On the other hand, City Police Commissioner Balwinder Singh said the situation is now under total control. The state administration has deployed adequate police force and four companies of Rapid Action Force.
