Actress Mira Sorvino is indeed proving her deep love for her husband Christopher Backus by directing a baseball movie where he will be playing the male lead.
Daughter of the veteran character actor Paul Sorvino, Mira had won the 1996 Oscar award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role in the movie Mighty Aphrodite. The 26-year-old Christopher, on the other hand, had a completely different background. He was a professional baseball player initially, but he left the game to pursue a career in acting. Mira was quoted saying,
The day we penned the first five pages was so exciting. We’d been talking about it for years, but then one day we just hired a babysitter to take the kids to the museum and sat there and banged stuff out.
