???Ms. Congeniality??? Sandra Bullock is a generous donor! After donating millions of dollars to Haiti and a few other disaster affected areas, the kind-hearted actress has gone ahead and contributed $1 million to the Red Cross organisation for Japan. This money will help the victims of Japan’s devastating earthquake and tsunami, who have lost so much.

According to People magazine:

The Oscar winner donated $1 million to the American Red Cross this week to aid earthquake and tsunami victims in Japan, the charity told CNN on Thursday.

This is the largest celebrity donation to the Red Cross since the disaster, although the charity has received other anonymous donations, it reports.

Some other celebrities are also out there trying to raise money to help Japan. While Lady Gaga is out with a special bracelet, Charlie Sheen will be donating a dollar from each ticket he sells from his forthcoming stage shows. However, this Oscar winning actress definitely takes the crown with such a hefty donation, which is the largest the Red Cross has received for its relief efforts in Japan. Well, Hollywood should learn from Sandra and try to follow suit. But, I guess the only thing most of them can think about is fattening up their already swollen bank accounts. The world is proud of you Sandra, and you sure are a trendsetter in every sense!
