A lot of politicians would get tongue-tied if an international supermodel interviews them. But, so is not the case with Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez, who gave Naomi Campbell his least diplomatic interview. Many a times, it is observed that the interview with a known face by a popular glamorous personality takes the formalness away and makes it more candid.
President Hugo went to the extent of declaring US President George W Bush ‘completely crazy’, hailed Fidel Castro’s fashion sense and called the Duchess of Cornwall ‘unattractive’! Naomi Campbell seems to be managing the new role as a contributing editor to the GQ magazine.
The interview was for the same purpose. Naomi’s interviewee President Hugo was found to be in a very frank frame of mind. He went to the extent of endearing himself to the United States by saying that President Bush wanted him dead. Hugo, in his interview, also commented that ‘the empire of the eagle’, his term for US, is on its way to witness a downfall in many ways more than one.
Commenting on few more famous personalities, President Hugo called Camilla as unattractive in comparison to Princess Diana. He also went on praising Mr. Castro and his dressing sense. The entire interview will be published in the upcoming edition of the GQ magazine.
