The Chief Minister of Bihar himself is favoring the establishment of private army in the state to fight with local mafias. To fight with the mafias, local goons and naxals, the private builders and contractors are hiring unemployed youths armed with guns for their protection.

Bihar is famous for the self-established ‘Private Armies’ and this time again these armies are in news. The Bihar government is concentrating hard to construct and renovate the poor roads in the interiors of the villages.

Local mafias and Naxals generally create hurdle by demanding the money from the contractors. The kidnapping of the contractors by the mafias has become the normal thing in Bihar. So, now the private contractors have recruited youths and provided them arms for the safety purpose.

The most interesting part of the story is that the government, itself, is ready to accept the initiative. CM Nitish Kumar said that this is not possible for the tiny police force alone to protect the whole of Bihar. He said that the initiative to form Ugrawadi Virodhi Manch is good. It protects the private construction companies from mafias and Naxals.

Ashok Singh, a contractor, said that after forming this army, the development work has gained momentum. Moreover, the villagers and the police are also cooperating the Private army. Sachita singh, member of the Ugrawadi Virodhi Manch said that they will go to any extent for development of our region.

This is good sign that people of Bihar need development at any cost now. They are looking so desperate for developmental works that they even do not want to wait for the help from the government.

Moreover, the voice of support came from the CM himself would definitely encourage some more private contractors to establish private armies to fight with mafias and Naxals.
