Shawn Corey Carter, better known as Jay-Z is not only a hip hop artist but also a successful businessman. Being the president and CEO of Def Jam Recordings and Roc-A-Fella Records, he also owns a 40/40 club and the New Jersey Nets NBA team. And now, this businessman has just closed out on a $66 million deal in Chelsea property.
Even though he has just invested such a huge amount only to acquire the property, people believe that this will also turn out to be one of his successful ventures.
It will join his chain of highly successful sports bars. Jay- Z has three partners in this deal and due to his popularity among all those, this property is registered under the name J-hotels. Jay-Z has still not decided on what to do with this property and it is discussed that he would change it into an art gallery or as a luxury spot.
And he is not stopping with that. He is opening shortly his third 40/40 club right next to his newly acquired property.Will this acquisition of Chelsea property turn this hot shot entrepreneur into an accomplished hotelier? It is yet to be seen. But whatever happens, he is one man who knows what he is doing.
