A former American Idol contestant and obsessed fan of Paula Abdul was found dead Tuesday night in her car outside Paula Abdul’s house. According to the police, the woman, who was identified as Paula Goodspeed, died of a drug overdose. Police have ruled this as an apparent suicide.
Goodspeed, 30, was a self-confessed fan of Abdul and she expressed it clearly during the auditions of the season 5 of American Idol. Though her audition was prominently featured by the show, she was ridiculed and criticized by judges Randy Jackson and Simon Cowell after her performance.
The real motive behind her suicide is still under wraps. However, her mother was well aware of her intentions because she had specifically mentioned this at the sheriff’s department while reporting her daughter missing. Anyway, we’ll have to wait until the investigations are over to know the truth.
