Tof Chef host Padma Lakshmi is pregnant with her first child. The 39-year-old model/host/author confirmed the news of her pregnancy via her rep, but preferred to remain mum about the identity of the baby’s father.
Us Magazine quotes her rep as saying,
Model, author, and Emmy-nominated Padma Lakshmi confirms that she is carrying her first child after years of struggling with endometriosis, a cause for which she has co-founded the Endometriosis Foundation of America.
As a result of her condition, this pregnancy has been referred to by her physician as nothing short of a medical miracle, and due to its delicate nature, we ask/implore the press to respect Ms. Lakshmi’s privacy at this time.
As you say, Ms. Lakshmi. We are ready to respect your privacy… provided you show some respect to our emotions, too, and reveal the name of your baby’s father. Notwithstanding the above stipulation, however, here’s a big congrats to you from all of us here.
