The government is preparing to introduce a Child Protection Bill in Parliament to save children from any kind of abuse and on the other hand, their own parents are selling young girls for money in Andhra Pradesh.

The CNN IBN has disclosed the matter by exposing the running child sex-racket in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh. According to its report, Parents are selling their young girls for a little sum of Rs 12,000 and turning them as sex slaves in Rajahmundry.

The CNN-IBN has uncovered the running racket by meeting brokers, promising money and fixing deals for ‘delivery’ of girls. The team has met D Nirmala, who wanted to sell her daughter to the team for some amount.

Nirmala said to the team that

if you want there are two more girls. They are my daughter’s friends I’ll speak to them and get them in a day or two. They are good looking too but they are right now out of town.

The other man Chinna Rao also wanted to sell his two daughters to the team. He said about himself as an expert in this ‘family business’.

He said that

I have two daughters, I have sent my elder one to Pune, and I have a niece whom I have been taking care off since her childhood. She is a little taller than my daughter.

He said further as

if you can take along the girls for 10 days if it is to Hyderabad. But if it is to Pune, Mumbai or Goa it can be longer, provided you give us the right price.

After some negotiation, broker Erra Apparao finalised the deal with the amount of Rs 12,000 for a girl. The broker said that they can girls to customers’ town. He said that he have been doing this for the last five years.

Later, Chinna Rao was to get Rs 12,000 and the brokers Rs 2,000 each. Police caught them as they were receiving the money as CNN-IBN team had tipped off authorities.

Recently, India Daily had published an article that Andhra Pradesh has become a hub the trafficking of minor girls. Most surprising thing is that in more than 80 per cent of the cases parents themselves are pushing the girls into flesh trade.
