Rapper/actress Eve has been arrested for investigation of driving under the influence following a Maserati crash in Hollywood early Thursday. Eve wrecked her Maserati at about 2:45 a.m. on Hollywood Boulevard, revealed police Officer Martha Garcia.
Eve (full name – Eve Jeffers) was made to give a blood test for alcohol level detection, but the results were not available immediately.
Eve has been arrested on offense of drunken driving and posted a $30,000 bail. The rapper is scheduled to return to court on May 17.
Her attorney, Matthew Johnson, did not respond to any media calls. Publicist Amanda Silverman refused to comment on the issue.
Eve is a Grammy winner, which she won for the single Let Me Blow Ya Mind with Gwen Stefani. Her screen credits include XXX, Barbershop and its sequel. She has also worked in her own self-titled sitcom on UPN.
