After proving his archery skills and hitting bullseye with his epic Robinhood, Russell Crowe is keen to flatter his fans with his singing and dancing skills – in a Bollywood movie! Don’t squint your eyes, you read it absolutely right. Russell Crowe wants to star in a Bollywood movie.
The Aussie actor revealed his desire to star in a Bollywood movie while talking to Daily Mail columnist Baz Bamigboye at the Cannes Film Festival,
I don’t mean a typical Hollywood film that happens to be set in India, but a Bollywood film. The script would have to be right, and I’ve to understand completely what I was doing, but I fancy having a go. I can do my own singing and I can dance a little bit. I’m in no hurry. If something comes my way, fine, if it doesn’t, so be it.
He’s an actor par excellence, no doubt about it, but I think he is making a tiny mistake with that singing and dancing part. First of all, I don’t think he’ll ever get the chance to sing his own song in a Bollywood movie (lingo probs!). Second, there is no Indian singer with a voice manly enough to playback for this macho gladiator! Anyway, jokes apart, I’m totally convinced that language and geographical borders will never be a problem for a talented actor like Russell Crowe.
