Sanjay Dutt flies back to Mumbai

After three days of getting interim bail from the Supreme Court, Sanjay Dutt finally came out of the Yervada jail, Pune. After spending 23 days in prison, Dutt is a free man now this is difficult to say that he is free for how many days. He was sentenced to six years of imprisonment in the 1993 Mumbai blasts case by a special TADA court in Mumbai.

According to the apex court decision, Dutt will have to return to the jail on the day, he would receive the copy of the November 28, 2006 judgement given by the TADA court in which he was convicted under the Arms Act.

After coming out of the jail at 7:20 am, Dutt, his lawyer Satish Maneshinde and other convict Yusuf Nulwala flew back to Mumbai by a chartered flight. He was well in his home in Mumbai at 8.25 am where his MP sister Priya Dutt, other close relatives and friends welcomed him with great emotions.

Dutt’s sister Namrata, brothers-in-law Kumar Gaurav and Owen Roncon, friends Bunti Wallia, Baba Siddiqui and others were also there to welcome him at the main gate of the building.

Dutt, with his hair cut short and beard grown, clad in a blue jeans and white shirt, was looking little relieved today when he entered his house. He said media persons that he will talk later. His lawyer Manshinde said that now Dutt wants to spend time with his family and wants to settle other issues such as completing professional commitments.
