Its being said that actress Scarlett Johansson lost the leading role in big-budget remake of ‘The Sound of Music‘ just because of her divalike demands but Scarlett is denying all such claims. Scarlett was offered the role of Maria von Trapp in Andrew Lloyd Webber‘s production of the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical. Lloyd Webber said that she put forward some really unacceptable conditions so he realized that it won’t work out. Her representatives said that she gets $10 million for a movie so why would she opt to get paid $18,500 a week.
Lloyd got really pissed off with this as Scarlett really wanted to do the film. I don’t think she is so stupid that she would leave such an opportunity just for money but if its true then she is insane.
Her rep Marcel Parisbeau says that Scarlett denied the offer because of her busy work schedule not money. She was asking for the terms and condition that any actress of her status would ask for. He says Lloyd is just exaggerating things.
