Spice Girls pocket $100m from O2 gigs

The recently reunited girl band Spice Girls have taken home a combined pay packet of $100 million from their 17-night shows at the O2 in London.

The stupendous success of the sell-out shows has left each of the five band mates richer by $20 million.

with nearly half a million fans paying up to $125 each for tickets, the gig is now being proclaimed at the most most-money spinning performance in the UK, thanks to higher average ticket sales than any other artist/band so far.

A source at O2 has been quoted as saying:

It???s been a huge success for them and this run of gigs at the O2 will probably be the icing on the cake of the reunion. Barbara Streisand had high ticket prices but only did three nights while Prince did 21 nights but sold tickets for next to nothing-not many groups can sell out 17 gigs at $125 a ticket, it???s quite an achievement.

The band now moves to Manchester for a fresh round of performances and their success in that part of the country is expected to be nothing short of the shows at the former Millennium Dome.
