In a recent article, Shah Rukh Khan(SRK) talks about his ways of using media and how media uses him in turn. He also admits that he is way too young and handsome to join the politics . He is too selfish to give up his personal time for the nation or the people. So, no time to enter politics.

With actors like Arnold Schwarzenegger and Shatrughan Sinha turning politicians, there seems to be a trend in Hollywood as well as in Bollywood actors. Most actors become politicians eventually. But, SRK admits that he won’t enter politics for various reasons. Here are the details.

Shah Rukh has been pretty successful in the Indian film industry as of now. With movies films that include Om Shanti Om, Dil to pagal hai, Baadshah, Dil se, Dil wale dulhaniya le jayege, and Don, SRK he has become a living legend. He is often compared with Amitabh Bacchan and media presents him to be larger than life. However, King Khan says he uses the media for his own purpose as well.

In a recent leadership meet in Delhi, SRK claims he is selfish, capitalistic, materialistic, and too handsome to join politics and waste his personal time. On behalf of the film industry, SRK apologizes to the politicians for projecting them as bad guys mostly.

SRK said:

I would also take this opportunity to apologize on behalf of the entire industry that caricatured politicians in their films. They are not as self-centered as shown in our films

Unlike many others, the king of Bollywood believes that media isn’t invading the actors privacy too much.

I think to a certain extent SRK has some legitimacy to his claims. SRK’s TV commercials have sort of helped him become the big boss in brand marketing and the media made him popular. The message is clear and simple: Shah Rukh is too young to join the politics. He further agreed that there’s no shortcut to success.
