Usher and Tameka Foster’s cancelled nuptials left everyone speculating for the reason. Now Tameka Foster is finally talking about the whirl of rumors surrounding her canceled wedding this past Saturday.
Foster told PEOPLE Monday,
No one knows why we canceled the wedding, but I can tell you that all of the reasons that everyone is speculating and writing about are completely untrue.
But Foster declined to reveal further details about why the nuptials were called off. The couple’s wedding was slated to take place at the Hamptons residence of Island Def Jam CEO L.A. Reid. But hours before the ceremony was called off.
Some sources claim that the wedding was called off because of family matters. Usher’s mother and former manager Jonetta Patton was against the wedding and there were disagreements between would-be-bride and groom over wedding details.
However, in Atlanta the reason for Saturday’s cancelled ceremony is believed that Foster checked into a local hospital and went into pre-term labor. This rumor spread on local radio stations and blogs.
