Recently at the ashram of Sant Rampal, which is located in Hisar, Haryana, around twelve of his disciples tried to kill themselves to please the deities. It is believed that Sant Rampal had provoked these people and made them believe that sacrificing their lives will bring tremendous benefits to them. Earlier, his supporters had opened fired at innocent villagers and savaged them. The so-called godman was out on bail but did not cease from perverse notoriety.

This one is the chief of Dera Sacha Sauda, and got charged in more than one rape case by the CBI. Several women followers of the Dera had complained that Gurmeet had raped and assaulted them using his high position.
