The legend of Pine River Cheese Plant

wisconsinPine River Cheese has a taste of its own as Wisconsin Cheese Trade is handed down since the 19th century. Northern Wisconsin Produce Co. in Manitowoc in 1907 was started by Gustav Lindemann to sell Wisconsin Cheese world wide and it later on expanded to a cold storage and merchandising of cheese, butter, eggs and poultry. Then the Pine River Pre Pack was started by Philip C, where he started making Cold Pack Cheese using his own recipe. The main purpose of Philip C. was to make Cheese fresher and easy-to-use.

The Licensed cheese Trade was handed down to the younger generation who had started making cheese in two categories of Cold Pack and Snack Spread, which includes cheese spreads, chocolates, sausages, nuts and snacks. These cheese products are available in polytubs, weighing 6 to 32 ounce and larger portions of 10 or 30 pound buckets. The Specialty Cheese is Cold Pack cheese which is a natural cheese in a spreadable form and is produced without heat and therefore packed cold. The texture of both the cheese is smooth and is blended with lots of spices to impart flavor to the chips.

It was Philip C. who registered the domain name pineriver.com in 1996 and was maintaining the website until 1997. The Pine River Cheese Products have bagged many awards since 1963 for the Wisconsin Grand Master Cheese Maker and in other cheese making contests like the World Championship Cheese Contest Gold Medal, U.S. Championship Cheese Contest Gold Medal, Wisconsin Governor’s Sweepstakes Blue Ribbon Winner and also Wisconsin State Fair Seal of Excellence for Chocolates. It has got maximum award for its Horseradish cheese, Garlic & Herb cheese, Swiss & Almond Cheese, Sharp Cheddar Cheese and Pecan Jamborees®.
