The news of Sinbad’s death turns out to be a hoax

sinbad 2263‘Sinbad’ fans worldwide were taken aback as the news of the comedian’s death began doing rounds. But the news that sent many a fans into the gloomy world turned out to be a hoax.

It all started when the famous reference website Wikipedia announced David Adkins aka Sinbad as dead in the reference entry. By saturday the rumor had spread like jungle fire and Sinbad got a phone call from his daughter.

After Sinbad’s clarification the gossip ended but only to surface again after a few days. This time the concerned fans and well wishers flooded him with phone calls combined with text messages and emails.

The 50-year-old comedian/actor is best remembered for his role opposite Arnold Schwarzenneger in the christmas-comedy Jingle All The Way in which two loving fathers outplay each other in order to gift their kids with the much sought after action-figure-toy Turbo man.

Anyway the man is in perfect condition and funny as ever. The stand-up comedian had the last laugh as he told The Associated Press in a phone interview:

Saturday I rose from the dead and then died again.
