Wallace & Gromit, hits a clean sweep at Annie with claiming 8 awards

Intrestingly the Oscar nominated claymatian movie “Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit” swept eight awards at the 33rd Annual Annie Awards held in Los Angeles this Saturday.
It took away the awards for Best Director, Feature, Writer, Character animation, Production Design, Music, Animated Effects, Voice acting and Storyboarding. Oops! Is there anything left?

wallace gromitThese awards were given away by International Animated Film Society and ASIFA-Hollywood.

Nick Park made these characters for a film school project and introduced them into TV shorts a few years back and made an appearance in Chicken Run as well. Wallace and Gromit who were made of clay track a rabbit that is stealing from vegetable gardens.

This flick was produced by Aardman Animation in collaboration with Dreamworks, a US based animation firm.
This flick seems to have a very very bright chance of grabbing this year’s Oscars as well. Other winners at the award function included Cartoon Network Studios and Star wars for Animated Television Production, Spider Man for Best Animated Video Game and many others.
