Since Donald Trump became the President of the United States, he has been in the center of many controversies. The US media has expressed its disapproval of him many times. His tweets and comments have rubbed journalists the wrong way, as they are frequently embarrassing and unexpected from the president of a country. His opinionated views, his rigid policies and his scrapping of Obamacare have led him to be unpopular with the media. Here are some more reasons why the media dislikes Donald Trump:
- No freedom

The media is upset with the way democracy is being redefined by Donald Trump. His immigration policy, for instance, has not found favor with the people and journalists. They are rooting for his impeachment, should there be proof of Russia’s involvement in the election, which caused Hilary Clinton’s loss and elected Trump.
- No trust
Media persons, Republicans, and big businessmen no longer believe they will be given the authority to do what they want. They are scared that Trump’s power has gone to his head, and he would make decisions wrong for the Republican party and the country.
- No Obamacare
The healthcare system which provided healthcare for those who didn’t have insurance and for those who are economically backward, known as Obamacare is to be replaced by another system which is not beneficial for the poorer section of society. This move by Trump has led him to be very unpopular with the media, the common people, and even his Republican Party members.
- Tarnished image of America abroad
Trump’s foreign policy is deeply worrying politicians and journalists. They are upset about the image of American being loony as well as without direction. They are of the opinion that the President is legitimizing far-right extremist movement all over the world.
- Promoting an atmosphere of fear

Many people who have had dealings with the White House have experienced an atmosphere of fear and intrigue. There is distrust among the workers in the White House.
- The country is seeing a divide
A large number of people are being marginalized under the Trump led government. His silent support for straight white people is putting in danger gays, African Americans and other immigrants who do not feel safe anymore. People’s lifestyles are being infringed upon by right-wingers and as a result, democracy is suffering. The media is against this marginalization of minority groups.
- Trump won by playing on the fears of people

Donald Trump played on the fears of people to get elected. His rule has sparked hatred among different people, and he has not done anything to lessen the hate or asked his supporters to be tolerant and gracious.
- Trump does not regard Senate rules
Trump has little regard for the Senate rules and wants to rid the minority or Democrats’ ability to block any legislation which does not get 60 out of 100 votes. If the change is made, then the Senate’s way of working would forever be changed.
- He’s simply unfit for the job

Trump, according to the US media, is the most clueless President. He negates what he says, often cannot make sense, is obscure and usually does not care, unless he is hounded by the media to answer to an issue. And he does so with his controversial tweets.
- He undermines party’s agenda
Trump often misses the message of his own Party! He seems to undermine his party’s agenda and is more interested in airing his grievances, especially against the media, in public rallies.
The media has not been in favor of Donald Trump from the beginning, due to his right-wing sympathies and after being elected too, he has not done anything to unify the country, but only sat back and watched the hatred grow.
