Emma Thompson is unique in more than one ways. She is the only person to have won Academy Awards for both acting and writing. And I think she is the only person who keeps her two Oscars in her bathroom because she is embarrassed to show them off in a more prominent position in her home.
She made her same unique character shine at a recent fundraiser for breast cancer charity The Lavender Trust.
The 47-year-old actress is a non-stop party girl once she comes in her elements. Dressed as a flapper girl she did’t even bother for a partner as she broke down in a solo dance and captivated audience.
Emma was unstoppable and she even went for the mike and sang the Beatles classic Let It Be, with due support from fellow celebrity fundraisers Nigella Lawson, Sophie Dahl, Zadie Smith and Thandie Newton.
The party which raised £200,000 for the charity definitely belonged to Emma Thompson who did her bit by donating, fundraising and above all by enjoying herself and making fellow celebrity fundraisers enjoy too.
