Oprah Winfrey‘s father is planning to write a book about his talented daughter. The news is as shocking for us as it was for Oprah herself.
Winfrey was stunned when one of her assistants told her that American newspaper had called up asking about the details of the book her dad, Vernon Winfrey, was writing. She initially laughed at the thing but phoned her dad to prove the news a rumor. And to her wonder, it was true!
Getting back to her childhood, we come to know that Oprah was in her teens when she was sent to stay with her dad in Nashville from her mom’s place in Milwaukee. There, she was given a disciplined and an educational environment.
Winfrey was in New York to be awarded the ‘Elie Wiesel Foundation Humanitarian Award’ when the newspaper got a chance to indulge in chitchat with the star.
Unable to get more comments from Oprah, the paper was turned down for any remarks by Vernon as well.
All Winfrey could reveal was that she last saw her dad when he escorted her on a journey to Africa some months back. She further added that they regularly talk and she enjoys an excellent relationship with him.
Apparently the book will be called ‘Things Unspoken’.
