Another Hindu Goddess in Western marketing gimmick

maakali in bayer ad 26

The foreign companies have been used the portrait of Hindu God and Goddess several times. It creates controversy and gets popularity. This is the easiest way to be in limelight. Those companies do not have respect for the sentiments for the religion at all.

Here is another example where a mosquito repellent product advertisement has used the picture of Hindu goddess Maa Kali. This is completely ridiculous.

According to Hindu mythology, Gods and Goddesses are shown with multi-hands that show their superhuman nature in just one frame. This is related to the religious sentiment. This should not be used for advertisement.

Here the goddess has been depicted with several arms as she has been depicted traditionally but the second frame shows that when Bayer’s effect comes into play the goddess does not need several arms to keep mosquito away.

It is truly bewildering to see the advertisement as it seems to be making mockery of religious sentiments attached to millions of Hindu.

Moreover, the advertisement ridiculously signals towards its anticipation that the goddess has used her several arms to kills mosquitoes.

The advertisement must be highly condemned and it must be withdrawn with immediate effect.

It might be funny for the French, but for millions of Hindu population it is definitely insulting.

The idea of this advertisement has been originated by a French agency, JWT based in Paris.
