And the second is when she actually becomes a mother. However, this experience is a joy only when it comes at the right time and with the right partner to take care. Are you healthy enough:
When I speak of health, I mean both physical and mental health. Go for a check-up. The first one should be for primary diseases. Like AIDS(god forbid) and other communicable diseases that may pass on to you young ones. Then the next health check should be on deficiencies. Like iron deficiency being the most important. Suppose you have this deficiency, childbirth may lead to anemia. Then get your BP and glucose checked as well. If needed, go for treatment. At the end comes mental health. Check that you should not have a tendency of depression or panic attacks or pregnancy can be a disaster.
Are you mature enough:
There was a time when girls were married premature and became mothers in their teenage. Anyways, that was a different era because you had a whole huge family to take care of your young ones. But these days, it’s just you and your husband. Kids are not as sweet as they used to be, so before deciding to become a mother, analyse yourself. Do you have a refractive enough attitude to handle the tougher days when your child throws tantrums and are you prepared for those sleepless nights when he/she cries endlessly.
Are you financially sound:
Unless you want a delivery in a government hospital and want to live in the rugs, considering finances is crucial. You won’t be able to work and earn much during pregnancy. Furthermore, your pregnancy period will cost a bomb. Discuss this part with your husband. Ask him to prepare in advance accordingly. And make sure that he spends it in the right manner.
Prefer to stay at your homeland:
Everyone like independence after marriage. But in this particular situation, advice and care of elders will be much appreciated. It gives you emotional support as well and a nice atmosphere where everyone cuddles and pampers you.
