Ingmar Bergman, the renowned film maker of his times, will see his soul rest in peace forever with his last wish being fulfilled. His wish will be accomplished when the remains of his fifth and final wife will be transferred to his grave on the Baltic Sea Island at Faro. The families of the reputed filmmaker and his wife Ingrid agreed to this transfer. The spokeswomen for the church where Ingrid was buried said that the transfer was to ensure couple’s souls rest at peace together.

Bergman who left this world at the age of 89 on 30th July this year made some classic movies like ‘The Seventh Seal’ the Oscar Wining ‘Fanny and Alexander’. The filmmaker was buried at his home Faro itself at the church cemetery. With such a great artist giving the world of cinema such exceptional movies every wish of such a legend has to be fulfilled to the last bit by his well wishers. It would definitely make Ingmar very proud and satisfied with the reburial of his wife.

Though Ingrid was his fifth wife, the couple had a daughter out of their marriage and 11 children from his previous marriages. Though love was never lost between the two Bergman always wanted his soul to end with Ingrid’s. Not many at the church would be impressed with the reburial of a person’s coffin but a lot of supporters of couple and of love will encourage this move till the highest extent possible. It will be difficult to judge how the church’s would react to such an act of reburial but, no surprises in guessing that the couples souls will be elated and will lay at peace next to each other at Faro.
