Hyderabad police claim to crack Mecca Masjid blast case in one week time

On Sunday, the investigation team arrested one person in Jharkhand in connection with the Mecca Masjid blast.

After this breakthrough, the Hyderabad police have claimed that they will crack the case within one week.

The police revealed that the packet, which was being considered as the third bomb, was actually a tiffin box.

The police team also revealed that initially it was thought there were four bombs at the site. One bomb went off and two bombs were placed in a bag hung on the iron fencing.

The fourth bomb was found at the Khilwat entrance to the masjid after three hours after the blast.

The police found that the bag on the iron fencing actually had one bomb in it attached with two iron pipes. The third package was also actually a tiffin box containing food. After some initial investigation, the police team revealed that three young men carrying three bags were seen in the surroundings of Mecca Masjid on that day.

In the meantime, the West Bengal police team has arrested a man named Mohammed Sayeed from Jamtara district in Jharkhand. Sayeed is a cell phone operator and he was the man who had sold the SIM card to a man. The unidentified man had showed him the driving licence of Babulal Yadav of Asansol as the identification proof that was fake. The SIM used in the blast was purchased at Kolkata’s Jodasankho area.

Balwinder Singh, City police commissioner Balwinder Singh told media persons at a press conference that the police tea,m is going on right direction and the case will be solved in one week’s time.
