The much popular show ‘I’m a celebrity…Get me out of here!’ has winded up, with Christopher Biggins crowned as the King of the Jungle. But the drama that sparked off during the show is still going strong and steady.

The affair between contestants Cerys Matthews,38, and Marc Bannerman, 34, took an interesting when Cerys landed at Heathrow Airport and openly announced that she was ‘very excited to see Marc. I can’t wait to see him.’ She added that her children. Who were traveling with her, were her first priority.

Asked about their future together, Cerys, looking as happy as a teenager in love for the first time, secretively replied, ‘It’s so special I just want to keep it a bit quiet.’ However, Marc wasn’t so quiet about his feelings. He candidly said in an interview, ‘I hope we can have children together. I don’t know what love at first sight is but I had the most intense feeling.’

Cerys, ‘desperately in love’, however, didn’t shy away from sharing with the public a very filmy description of the ‘thunderbolt’ moment when she and Marc realized that ‘they’d gone too far that night under the stars’ and even confessed about the ‘loaded kiss’ they had shared, though she had realized that they were doing wrong to Marc’s girlfriend of 2 years, Footballer’s Wives star Sarah Matravers, who promptly moved out of the home they shared together after witnessing the growing closeness unfold onscreen.

The blooming love, however, has seemingly failed to evoke sympathy. Since leaving the show, the pair has raked in more than £100,000 from separate interviews, including Cerys’ revealing snap accompanying an interview, in which each has declared their love for the other. And they stand to match that sum with magazine and TV interviews when they finally appear together as a couple.

The discontent and doubt generated by this piece of information was fuelled by Marc’s turning down a return flight to Australia to be reunited with Miss Matthews when she was voted off the show on Thursday, breaking his promises to her. To add to it, Cerys’ decision to stay back for the after-show party instead of rushing to meet Marc has given the viewers enough reasons to doubt the depth of their claimed feelings.

Viewers voiced their opinions about the affair being just another ‘publicity-seeking ploy’ indulged in by the singer and the former EastEnders star to ‘kickstart’ their ‘flagging career’.
