Mel Gibson lands up in soup for making anti-Semitic remarks, apologizes publicly

mel gibson345One of the well-known faces of Hollywood, Mel Gibson, 50 was recently arrested in Malibu, California over the charges of drunken driving. He showcased unreasonably rude and shameful attitude while he was being arrested. He tried to threaten the arresting deputy and tried escaping from the spot. Apart from that, he made some really nasty anti-Semitic comments. He asked the officer if he was a Jew and further added that Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world.

Mel Gibson has apologized for his behavior. Mel said, he is regretting saying things, which he doesn’t believe in, and are despicable. However, National Director of the Anti-Defamation League, Abraham H. Foxman called his apology ‘unremorseful and insufficient.’

It is not the first time that Mel is targeted because of his anti-Semitic remarks; he directed a movie, ‘The Passion of the Christ‘ that was released in 2004. Some Jewish leaders said that the movie showcase Jews as the killers of Jesus.
