Actor Mithun Chakraborty will be portraying the same role as Sylvester Stallone’s did in 1991 comic crime film titled Oscar, in the film Don Muthuswamy. The Disco Dancer star made a comeback in 2005 with Ellan after a hiatus in late 1990’s. After Ellan he worked as a supporting actor in Lucky: No Time for Love and Chingari.

Mithun Chakraborty could not showcase and prove his acting skills after his comeback except in Mani Ratnam’s Guru in which he was played a daring Bengali newspaper editor. In Don Muthuswamy he will revive Stallone’s role as he plays an aging, naive gangster under the direction of Ashim, son of veteran filmmaker Shakti Samanta.

Mitun has also worked with Shakti Samanta for Hindi-Bengali film called Aar Paar and Khwab.

Television star Rohit Roy known for roles in Des Mein Nikla Hoga Chand and Swabhimaan will be playing as the gangster’s conniving accountant. In the film Shootout at Lokhandwala he played Fattu, one of the gang members but is excited to grab a comic role now.

Speaking on his great mannerisms that are quite like Rajesh Khanna Rohit discloses:

Yes, that must be because my mother was a big Rajesh Khanna fan. She must have watched all his films repeatedly while she was carrying me. So now it feels great to be working with a banner that’s done so much memorable work with Rajesh Khanna.

‘Aradhana’, ‘Amar Prem’ and ‘Kati Patang’ with Rajesh Khanna were produced under Shakti Films, the film production company of Bengali director Shakti Samanta.
