Everyone wants his or her piece of share from the cake of profit. The political parties play the game of politics with the same rule, it seems. The BJP-SAD alliance ousted the Amarinder government from power in Punjab in the assembly election. SAD leader Prakash Singh Badal took over as the Chief Minister of the SAD-BJP alliance government.
Now, the BJP has put forward a demand to the government that a leader from BJP should be appointed as Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab. The party has said further that it has given equal contribution in the formation of the Prakash Singh government in the state.
Professor Rajinder Bhandari, the new President of the Punjab unit of BJP, said that the BJP performed better in the elections and has to fulfill the aspiration for the people of Punjab.
For the better development of the people, BJP definitely deserve the post of Deputy Chief Minister in the government. The Shiromani Akali Dal should be generous enough to agree on BJP’s demand.
He even reminded SAD leaders that even they had their share of cake from the BJP when NDA was in power in Centre. He said:
Even BJP were generous when the SAD approached the party to appoint SAD leader as the Deputy Speaker of the Lok Sabha.
Interestingly, when Rajinder Bhandari was asked what he expects from SAD government on this matter, Bhandari replied by saying that BJP expects only a notification by the government regarding the post of deputy CM.
Now, it is the turn of Prakash Singh Badal to answer on BJP’s demand and it will be interesting to see the steps taken by SAD on this matter.
