Sean Young might lose out to Britney Spears in lunacy, but not before giving a tough fight. I can already see the teeny-boppers going ???Huh? Who was that, again???? Sean Young had made some splash in her heyday, which happens to be the 1980s. With prominent movies like No Way Out, Dune and Blade Runner under her belt, she was predicted to rule Hollywood. Then Sean went insane.
We would probably never be able to find out what exactly happened. But her insanity definitely killed her career in the bud. She was kicked out of big movies like ???Dick Tracy??? and the first ???Batman???. Turning up in director Tim Burton’s office in a homemade Catwoman costume demanding a role in Batman Returns didn???t help. Apart from a couple of forgettable movies and a few glimpses on TV, Sane???s career was put down as a lost case.
People were just about beginning to forget her and her ???problems???, when she surfaced to remind the world that she exists and that, she is still as mad as ever. At the Screen Actor’s Guild Awards, she screamed, raved, booed, yelled and called names. Her victims list comprised of the announcers and attendees on stage, French actress Marian Cotillard, ???The Diving Bell And The Butterfly??? Julian Schnabel director and every other soul unfortunate enough to cross her path. Julian Schnabel showed tremendous self-control by attempting to calm her down with a drink.
When she showed no signs of cooling down, the security people were called in. Her white fur coat flying, Sean was dragged out of the award show. She didn???t give up though. She punched and yelled at the guards like some captured animal. Not a happy sight. The latest news is that she is at a rehab for alcohol abuse. What can we do, apart from hoping she bounces back saner.
